The Role: Supervisor Pharmacy Services – Thayer Center for Health
MaineGeneral is currently looking for a Pharmacist Supervisor, fulltime,, Monday-Friday days, to oversee daily staff activities for the Thayer pharmacy to ensure outstanding customer service and alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. The Thayer pharmacy provides medications to the Emergency Department, Infusion Clinic, Same Day Surgery, and other outpatient departments.

The Work:
Working Supervisor participates in and oversees daily hospital pharmacy activities like medication ordering, verification, IV room sterile compounding, and distribution.
Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, student/resident engagement and patient charging.
Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as USP 795, 797, and 800.
Monitors departmental budget and regulatory compliance. Determines and justifies needs for equipment purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or inventory levels.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

You Have:
Supervisory experience preferred
Experience in healthcare or hospital is a perfect match for this job
Enjoys working in a team.
Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and work beside staff as needed
Licensed by the Maine Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist or eligible for same through reciprocation required.
