Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician III Certified – Education Lead will assist pharmacy leadership in the
coordination of pharmacy technician onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competencies, in addition to
providing daily supportive services for the Department of Pharmacy according to hospital policies and
procedures and in compliance with Kentucky pharmacy laws and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with new hires
- Lead pharmacy/shift huddles as assigned
- Serve as the primary trainer/coordinator for new pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate pharmacy technician students experiences
- Assist in coordination of IPPE and/or APPE student experiences
- Work effectively and independently with members of pharmacy leadership team
- Coordinate pharmacy technician education for new initiatives/workflow changes or ongoing pharmacy staff competencies as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- PTCB national certification or NHA
- 5+ years of pharmacy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician educational program and/or Associate’s degree
