API is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. Works under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge to provide quality pharmaceutical care.
The primary duties are not limited to but will include: interpret and fill physician orders; maintain patient medication records.
Responsibilities:
- Greet Customers and provide customer service.
- Perform cashiering functions.
- Assist staff pharmacist in mixing and dispensing medication.
- Process unclaimed prescriptions.
- Answer phone.
- Telephone physician to request refill authorization.
- Process return to the vendor if deemed necessary.
- Order prescription and designated non-prescription pharmacy products.
- Maintain department, state, and federal standards.
- Maintain pharmacy files and inventory.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Current one (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
