This Outpatient Therapy Services Clinic is located in the brand new Mercy Center for Performance Medicine and Specialty Care on the Mercy Hospital St. Louis campus. This innovative, state of the art building is equipped with cutting edge technology. Therapists will work closely with onsite Mercy Clinic orthopedic and sports medicine specialists.

Overview:

Therapist performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients of all ages. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, makes decisions related to patient care, handles confidential information regarding patient records. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision and values of Mercy. Perform initial assessment for each patient upon receiving referral and document Plan of Care according to departmental policies and procedures and standards of care.

• Provide Plans of Care based upon physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and age related factors.
• Administer appropriate modalities, exercise regimens, and/or treatment procedures according to departmental policies and procedures and standards of care. Treatment to be consistent with Plan of Care.
• Prepare patient for discharge according to departmental policies and procedures and standards of care.
• Operational Responsibilities.
• Promote continuous quality improvement, education, and a positive atmosphere.
• Perform Daily, Interim Plan of Care, and Discharge documentation according to departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensure: Current Missouri physical therapy license or eligibility required.
• Certifications: Current BLS thru the American Heart Association.
• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
