JOB DETAILS
POSITION- Pitching/Labor
HOURS- Hours Vary by position by are generally 5am-;3pm

Primary Responsibility: To assist in the collection of recycling & garbage by loading the refuse into a rear-load truck.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Load refuse into the hopper of a rear load truck.
• Lift bags of refuse from ground level to a hopper (approx. 3 ft. above ground level).
• Assists in loading refuse from containers truck.
• Operate the hopper and winch to dump containers.
• Assists driver with positioning or moves container into position for pickup.
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be willing to work Monday through Friday, and occasionally a Saturday
• Able to recognize unacceptable waste (such as gasoline and other flammable, hazardous materials) and report it to the driver.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
• Physically capable of walking, jogging, bending, climbing, lifting, carrying heavy bags from curbside to the rear hopper of the truck.
• Sufficient stamina for steady work pace through an entire shift.
• Works outdoors in all weather conditions and wears appropriate clothing for the season.
• Must be willing to be on time and maintain a good working attendance.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
