Job Summary:
RIDGE is seeking a highly skilled Inventory & Product Planning Manager to oversee the planning and coordination of our product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, creating product development plans, forecasting demand, and developing inventory strategies. The Planning Manager will also work closely with production, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that our offerings meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Ridge product line taking into account plans from the Product Development, Brand and Merchandising departments.
- Analyze market trends and customer preferences to identify new product opportunities and potential risks.
- Forecast demand for products and develop inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure timely and efficient production of new products.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure that product offerings meet customer needs and business objectives.
- Identify seasonal demand patterns and develop appropriate strategies to optimize inventory planning and product assortment.
- Monitor product performance and adjust plans as needed to meet sales and profitability goals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of inventory data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Monitor product performance and make data-driven recommendations for assortment changes, including product additions, deletions, and SKU rationalization.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in product planning and development, preferably in the fashion or accessories industry.
- Field experience in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent field experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including proficiency in functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis tools like Solver or Power Query.
- Knowledge of eCommerce platforms and familiarity with online marketplace dynamics is preferred.
