Essential Duties:
- Follow general policies and procedures related to poly pipe operations
- Inform supervisor promptly of any issues
- Always stay on location to maintain oversight of the unit
- Loading, unloading, transporting, installation and removal of environmental spill prevention containment products
- Required to walk, reach, and move about the unit
- Work in/around mechanical, industrial, and electrical equipment
- Work in/around trucks
- Work in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ experience
- TRAVEL: Depending on job site
- OTHER:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, pass a fit test, and climb a ladder
- Preferred knowledge of the inventory, materials and equipment
- Preferred knowledge of 3 and 4 inch poly pipe
- Preferred knowledge of spooling/reeling and laying out poly pipe
- Preferred experience fusing, operating welding machine, extrusion welder and sewing machine
- Preferred experience using polyethylene liners and containments, both secondary and constructed containment structures
- Ability to use a skid steer/ditch witch
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability speak and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
