At Freyberg Petroleum, we have been in business for over 100 years, throughout the course of four generations, providing fuel and petroleum to the local and rural Mankato community. We aim to continue the traditions of our local and family-owned business with our new truck stop east of Mankato on Highway 14. The Mankato Travel Center and Ten20 Tavern will provide truckers, travelers, and locals alike with an all-encompassing destination to fuel their vehicles, eat, rest, and continue their travels.

We are currently looking for LINE COOKS for our Ten20 Tavern team. We are looking for someone that can work with a team to complete tasks and is able to also complete tasks on their own when asked.

What we would like to see from you:

• You must be a POSITIVE person! We will not tolerate negativity. Our number one priority is to provide a safe and positive work environment for our staff, and you will not be considered for employment if you cannot meet that standard.
• Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines set forth by local, state, and federal health authorities
• An overall interest in learning and the ability to teach others that want to learn
• Ensure that our guests experience is as enjoyable as possible by providing them hot, fresh, and homemade food for dine-in or carry-out.
• Organizing yourself for your shift and making sure your teammates on the next shift are set up for success
• Ability to recreate menu items the same way in which you were trained and as the executive chef intended
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Prepare food for service
• Work directly with the executive chef and kitchen leads on new or different procedures, new menu items, and efficient kitchen processes
• A passion to create and serve food that is made with more care and with ingredients that are far from the typical "heat and serve"
