Position POS QA Tester

Job Description/ Required Skills: Responsibilities:

• Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communicate test progress, test results, and quality of application changes.
• Analyze test results to Client and report on defects.
• Document defects effectively and collaborate with developers to see them resolved
• Work with the scrum team to ensure that all stories have well defined acceptance criteria, test plans, and any hooks needed to enable testability
• Diagnose issues to determine scope and provide reproduction scenarios
• Work with business community to plan and execute UAT.
• Able to test the POS application and all associated applications
• Knowledge of debugging a defect
• Work closely with the Development and Engineering teams during all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Track multiple testing tickets and projects simultaneously and document/communicate results.
• Proactively identify new tools/processes/approaches and continuously strive to find ways to improve the overall testing strategy
• Ability to work well with on-shore and off-shore teams.
• Deliver high quality product releases
• Thrive in an agile environment where design decisions are made collaboratively every day

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on POS testing, including payments
• Strong technical understanding of POS systems
• Experience assembling End-To-End, Smoke and Regression testing
• Experience providing estimates to complete QA related tasks
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Sharepoint

Skills:

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree. CS or EE preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Clear understanding of testing as it relates to POS (Xstore Experience a plus)
• Results oriented and takes initiative; ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
• Ability to work alone or within a team setting

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
