What you'll do:

• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat, or preparing sauces).
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation.
• Follows chef and manager's instructions, communicates with and supports co-workers while being a team player.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station and the kitchen.
• Labels and stores all products following FIFO and DOH standards.
• Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant and DOH standards included but not limited to washing dishes and taking out trash.
• Exhibits the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Complies with DOH and company sanitation standards.

Training Requirements:

• Food Handling Certificate

What you've done and enjoy doing:

• Previous culinary experience preferred
• Experience as a prep and/or line cook preferred
• Passion for the company's mission, positioning, and brand
• Excellent attention to detail
• Adaptable startup mindset
• Enjoys collaborating with a team
• Team player and a "nothing too small task" mentality
• Needs to be based in the Los Angeles area

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
• Must be able to work and remain focused in an ever-changing environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days and evenings.
• This is a part-time 6-Month Contract role with potential to extend.
• Needs to be based in Los Angeles.
