North Guilford Nursey School is seeking Lead and assistant teachers to join our energetic and highly dedicated team of professionals to work with children 2-5 years old. Must be flexible, loving and a team player. School hours of operations are M-F 9:00am-12:30pm. Teachers hours are 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Seeking to fill several positions for the upcoming school year. NGNS follows the Guilford Public School calendar ( 10- month school year).

North Guilford Nursery School ("NGNS") strives to provide a nurturing environment that is friendly and secure, in which young children can develop their individual personalities. Our curriculum is designed to enhance each child's physical, cognitive, and social and emotional development and promote independent self-help skills.
The school offers a variety of learning experiences to engage the children in exploring the world around them, to introduce concepts, pre-writing and pre-math skills, and an opportunity to foster their socialization through play with their peers. Children will be involved in a music and library program, active and quiet play, exploration and discovery, individual and small group activities, dramatic play, experiences that promote self-reliance, both child-initiated and teacher-initiated experiences, and varied choices of materials, toys, and equipment. Our goal is to provide every child a positive school experience.
Required Skills
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred or previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields. Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask and remain organized. Must meet state requirements for childcare employment. Ability to build relationships with children and families. Passionate about working with children. Ability to build rapport with children. Positive and patient demeanor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth. Create a fun and safe learning environment. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents. Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress. Maintain the health and safety of all students.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
