• Bathroom assist
• Dressing assist

• Brushing teeth
• Driving me to and from work
• Traveling with me on business trips

• Filling the car with gas
• Cleaning
• Laundry
• Preparing me for bed

Overview:

I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a form of Muscular Dystrophy. This means that I gradually get weaker over time and require physical assistance throughout my day. I am finishing up my last year at the University of Denver, studying business analytics with a minor in leadership studies. This summer, I will be interning for a company here in Denver. I am looking for someone who has the capability to work 40+ hours a week. You would be responsible for getting me up in the morning, driving me to work, accompanying me at work, and driving me home at the end of the day. While I am working/in class, you will usually have plenty of downtime. During this downtime, I may also ask you to run errands or be close by to assist me when needed. Occasionally, I may request that you work over the weekend or travel with me for business trips. I have several backup caregivers that can fill in if you are unable to, but you must work overtime every now and again. However, I will always give you plenty of notice. On average, you will work 10-12 hours a day, 4 days a week, or half days every other day with a 5-day work week. Whatever we agree upon with remain the schedule each week. You will be paid through a state program called CDASS which makes me your employer, not a home healthcare agency (explained in further detail upon interview).
