Procurement Analyst Job at NAPA Auto Parts
Position Mission:
This position will support building and maintaining financial reporting for NAPA’s Procurement and finance teams including: Supplier purchases, Supplier Rebates, Fill Rate Penalties and P&L impact of procurement initiatives. This position will drive the effective tracking and reporting of YOY supplier rebates, fill rate penalties and Procurement Gains based on supplier purchases and negotiated contractual agreements. Improve data collection and monthly reports to better support business decisions as it relates to NAPA’s direct procurement spend.
Position Performance Measures:
- Effectively track/forecast Supplier Rebates and P&L impact based on supplier purchases, contractual agreements, and procurement initiatives
- Effectively consolidate data sets with accuracy to ensure proper calculation of rebates and fill rate penalties.
- Maintain supplier purchases, supplier fill rate and rebate databases to support with monthly reporting of financials accruals.
Responsibilities: The following section contains the primary responsibilities for this position. Job holder is responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by management.
- Support the tracking and reporting of the US Automotive Group’s supplier purchases, rebates and Fill Rate penalties.
- Consolidate qualified supplier purchases towards negotiated rebates every month.
- Support the Contracts Finance Manager with supplier purchases and fill rate reporting to support monthly accruals for Rebates and Fill rate penalties.
- Conduct analysis of YOY trends on supplier rebates, purchases and fill rate.
- Improve Supplier Purchases databases and reporting to support NAPA drive strategic procurement initiatives.
- Support NAPA’ procurement and Merchandising teams with adhoc financial analysis to support business decisions and investment opportunities. Prepare insightful management reporting packages for business units and executive management.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, contracts, sourcing, pricing and category management teams on reporting needs related to purchases, fill rate and rebates.
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- BS in Finance, Data Analytics or Accounting with 1-5 years of experience (desired)
- Flourish examining quantitative information – financial planning, analysis and forecasting experience
- Expert in MS Excel with solid ERP systems experience, including identifying sources of data
- Experience with managing big datasets and ensuring data accuracy
- Experience presenting financial reporting to management a plus
- Experience with Contracts Management a plus
- Highly organized with key attention to detail
- P&L management a plus
- Highly professional with superior verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all internal and external customers
- Ability to work effectively and independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and function with minimal direction in order to anticipate and perform tasks without being instructed
- Ability to compose correspondence with little or no supervision
- Prioritization and attention to detail is essential
- Have excellent problem-solving skills
