Company Description: John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Venice, Louisiana, and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Position: Product Procurement and Inventory Specialist

Summary Description: Responsible for procuring blending operation products and tracking critical inventory

Worksite: The facility is in Houston Texas (Houston Ship Channel Area). The companys headquarters is in Gretna, Louisiana. (The greater New Orleans area).

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday. Some overtime will be required on an as needed basis.

Essential Job Duties:

• Recording Transactions on DPS
  • Load Sheets
  • Blends, started and approved
  • Package filling, including repacks
  • Inbound packaged loads
  • Bulk and package unloads
• Raw Materials ordering, base oils, additives- bulk and package, packaging products and the such.
• Works closely with vendors to ensure timely and accurate supply of product. Including making sure the proper paperwork accompanies the product.
• Planning the logistics of inbound loads
• Tracking and updating all bulk inventory, daily
• Work proficiently in Ascend including purchasing and receiving product, closing BOMs and creating BOLs
• Upload POs on the company hard drive.
• EOM summaries for certain suppliers
• EOM summaries for heating and tank storage activity
• Assists in Reconciling EOM inventory
• Orders most of the facility supplies/verifies invoices
• Administrative duties/ ships packages
• Reviews all demurrage charges and invoice discrepancies
• And other duties as advised by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Thrives in a team environment working to achieve an end goal
• 2-year college degree or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of the oil blending process from start to finish
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work across varying procurement platforms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
