Custom Comfort Mattress is seeking a successful full-time Customer Service Associate/Product Specialist for our Air-pedic division. Associate will report to our office in Orange, CA.

$500 sign-on bonus paid after successfully completing the first 60-days!

Custom Comfort Mattress locally manufactures and sells handcrafted, high-quality mattresses made with natural materials and traditional, lasting craftsmanship. We create genuine, welcoming, customer-focused experiences with the mission of helping our customers get their best sleep each night.

Custom Comfort Mattress was founded 30 years ago and continues to run as a privately held family-owned business. The company’s manufacturing facility is located in Orange County, CA. We operate eight retail showrooms, six in Orange County and two in Los Angeles county.

An ideal candidate would possess a polite, professional manner in your communications via email and phone calls. You must be able to multitask and prioritize. Developing a comprehensive knowledge of our brand and the landscape in which you work will build credibility with the clients. Knowing how to effectively interact with different types of people and thriving in a one-on-one environment can be important to your work as a Sales Associate.

  • Serve clients in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate and timely follow-ups as necessary.
  • Builds and maintains an extensive knowledge base of similar local businesses.

Frequently communicating with clients and others over the phone (including text messaging) and via email.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues by proposing a solution, ensuring customer experience continues to be top priority.
  • Learn and understand the product to be able to assist customers with technical questions.
  • Communicate with customers via phone calls and emails. Responding in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to provide a smooth customer experience.
  • Handle support requests daily including assisting with customer questions, request, issues, and product support inquiries from customers.
  • Be able to confidently solve unique customer problems to assure mutual benefit.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products, technology, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Able to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels.

Other Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of sales/customer service experience.
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience with Zendesk -not required but huge plus!

Salary range is $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.
