We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Engineer to join our team on a swing shift. The ideal candidate will have a passion for media production, a strong technical skill set, and a deep understanding of post-production workflows. The Post Production Engineer will be responsible for managing our infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content, and collaborating with our production team on creative projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our post-production infrastructure, including artist workstations, storage systems, and networking equipment
- Support artist facing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Flame, Avid Media Composer and Colorfront Transkoder
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime
- Document set-up and maintenance procedures
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of postproduction dailies, color and online editorial workflows
- Fluent on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms
- Knowledge of media file formats and codecs
- Experience with supporting SAN & NAS storage solutions such as Quantum Stornext and GPFS
- Solid understanding of networking and networking protocols (SMB, NFS, DNS, DHCP)
- Video router configuration experience is a plus
- Color calibration experience on reference monitors is a plus
Experience:
- 4-8 years of experience in a post-production support role, preferably in a broadcast or film production environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
