Summary:

Individual is responsible to develop plans that will help to ensure customer delivery commitments are met and production schedules optimize the use of available resources. These plans include but are not limited to, material input, shop schedule, supplier services and requesting the appropriate resources from the manufacturing group. The individual must have a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Excellent communications at all levels with the customers, the supply base and internal departments are paramount for success in this position. This is a "hands-on" position.


Essential functions (What)

  • Responsible for coordinating the timely release or work orders to Production, utilizing Contract Review and Materials Requirements Planning.
  • Participate in coordination of the company's production plans and strategies with Production, Engineering, Materials, and Quality departments.
  • Work with the Inventory Control Coordinator in assembly kitting, inventory control, cycle counting, materials processing, work order generation, release and splitting.
  • Communicates all plans and changes to appropriate members of the production team.
  • Participates in Contract Review, MRB & Production Meetings.
  • Responsible for generation of, and updates to detailed, controlled Work Instructions for all planning activities.
  • Responsible for assuring that assigned activities are performed in accordance with company Quality System procedures.
  • Lead annual physical inventory from planning stages through completion in accordance with company procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and take an active role in follow through of Production Support improvement activities.
  • Coordinate timely issue of raw material including but not limited to review of machine queues and lining up work for bar stock and saw, expediting receipt of goods.
  • Assist with coordination, logistics and expediting of outside sourcing efforts.
  • Fill out required regulated paperwork and required documentation.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adjust the master schedule as needed to accommodate changes in customer demand or production constraints
  • To proactively communicate potential schedule changes or delays to relevant stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Four years’ experience in manufacturing, two years of which were in a supervisory capacity. Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for up to 50 percent of this requirement.
