Production Supervisor Job at HFI
HFI is currently hiring for a 1st Shift Production Supervisor at our Canal Winchester location. As a Production Supervisor, you will develop and improve manufacturing processes and best practices, and be accountable for achieving cost, schedule and productivity metrics by directing the work of the department. The position's primary responsibility is ensuring safety, culture and operational effectiveness using lean manufacturing tactics with a focus on production efficiency. It is an expectation of the Production Supervisor to develop and mentor all employees under their supervision.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Truly take personal ownership of safety for yourself and production staff
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Lead, track and improve performance on key department goals and objectives
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.Develop production associates and Line Leads to improve individual and organizational performance
Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew
Oversee and track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Continuously improve plant performance through process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques, where it adds value
- Work with upstream and downstream processes (and people), to exceed customer expectations
- Translate Lean and Manufacturing Principles
Requirements
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree or previous experience in similar role.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing facility
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,598.05 - $54,913.77 per year
