Production Technician

Location- Richardson, Tx

Pay Scale: $16-17 per hour, with the potential to earn $25+ after a year with experience

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 5am - 2:30pm OT Mandatory

Overview:

We are looking for four skilled Production Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the operational performance and efficiencies of the day-to-day events of the Production departments. The position requires candidates to have experience with Chemical Processing (OEM & Recycle), Texturizing, Masking, Thermal Coating, Cleanroom Packaging and Inspection, Mechanical Assembly/Dissemble, Inbound/Outbound Freight, Consigned inventory, finished goods inventory, and Supplies Inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit all product-related documents received for conformance to internal and external specifications
  • Follow all written procedures as noted on job travelers and internal documents
  • Ensure proper execution of paperwork and accuracy of all daily Production data entries on the network.
  • Coordinate projects and track status using the schedule board
  • Ensure the quality of the work performed through diligent use of existing control processes
  • Enforce company policies concerning safe work practices and the use of safety equipment
  • Be a conduit for communication from upper management to Production staff
  • Perform Chemical Processing of OEM and Refurbished product in the Chemline Area.
  • Grit blast product per Traveler instructions
  • Masking for part processing as required to ensure quality output is achieved
  • Follow Six S protocol and company policy by leaving the work area in an organized and clean condition at the end of each shift. This includes any industry standard wipe down of Table tops, table legs, racks, shelves, computers, printers, equipment, walls, floors and trash removal.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and apply information and data contained in CP and customer specification documents (i.e., purchase orders, process documents, specifications, corrective actions), including an excellent understanding of blueprints and the symbols used on them.
  • Must have strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills plus presentation skills to create material and present in an organized and professional manner.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit, and talk and hear
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • At least 5 years related experience with Chemical Processing, including but not limited to chemical stripping, metal refinishing, texturizing, masking, or thermal coating in a production environment.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to airborne particles and/or moderate chemical fumes known to be toxic.
  • PPE is Provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Heavy lifting: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Chemical processing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Handling chemicals: 2 years (Preferred)
