NSS Sector has an opening for a Program Security Officer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services to an IC customer. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that determine the current and future national space systems. The Program Security Officer (PSO) will represent organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer all security aspects for multiple programs, including implementing physical, program, facility and information security requirements to ensure compliance with NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs, federal security regulations and information security requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging Physical Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of AF and Department of Defense, directives, policies, and regulations pertaining to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Physical security.
- Advise on thorough knowledge Intelligence Community Physical SCIF standards (e.g., ICD 705, ICD 705 Technical Specifications and Tempest).
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate Physical SCI requirements and their effect on the operating environment and determine Physical security vulnerabilities and mitigations.
- Ability to perform in-depth technical analysis and apply acquired knowledge and experiences to forecast Physical SCI requirements to support customers and organizations.
- Ability to perform independent assessments of Physical SCIF requirements.
- Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified materials, documents, and equipment.
- Develop, write and review security documentation and provide guidance and assistance for all security levels including collateral and SCI information.
- Investigate and manage security incidents and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Conduct SCI Indoctrination briefings and educational training for new and current employees and coordinate security debriefings as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's and a minimum of 14 years' experience, Mater's and 12 years’ experience or PhD and 9 Years. additional experience to be considered in lieu of degree.
- Extensive expertise in applying Physical security concepts, principles and practices associated with the technical aspects of SCIFs and provide advice and guidance on implementing SCI policies, procedures, and countermeasures.
- Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance.
- Experience with Intelligence Community administrative SCIF accreditation process. (e.g., Fixed Facility Checklists, Tempest, diagrams, DD 254, Co-use and transfer of cognizance forms).
- Experience conducting ICD 705 Physical SCIF assessments and inspections.
Desired Qualifications:
- An active TS/SCI clearance w. CI Poly.
- Knowledge of the various security disciplines such as physical security, personnel security, information system security and industrial security.
- Previous security experience with the Intelligence Community.
- Experience with standard Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel).
