Job Description

ATG is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Project Manager who manages and overseas all aspects of a satellite communications project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Develops detailed project plans. Monitors project milestones and generates periodic status reports. Additionally, Project Manager evaluates and manages risk. Performs Quality Assurance on all deliverables incorporating quality measures and standards to project deliverables. Possesses strong knowledge of satellite and communications technologies. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit department. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

Qualifications

• Project Leader experience (5+ years)

• DoD experience. Military or GS civilian project management experience counts. Understand DoD requirements for acquisition packages; Requests for Proposal, Performance Work Statements, Statements of Work, acquisition strategy, contract type (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus, etc.) Does not have to be an expert.
• Proven track record developing trusted relationships with government representatives and team members.
• Team-player with ability to motivate others to support capture.
• Strong communications skills – both oral and written.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic and highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively and perform multiple tasks under pressure.
• Ability to complete assignments correctly, independently, and in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualification:

Technical background; SATCOM is best but not required.

Normal Office Environment. Requires Sitting, Standing, Near Acuity, Speaking with colleagues and customers, Listening, Sight, Use of hands/fingers.
