Job Description:
This position will begin with a training and certifications phase that will prepare you for the industry and ensure you are fully compliant with industry licensing requirements. You will understand and exhibit safe operation of all necessary equipment and protective gear to remove, bag, and dispose of asbestos, mold, and/or lead. Complete appropriate paperwork and perform the work in accordance with SERVPRO policies, practices, and procedures. This position also adheres to EPA, OSHA, IICRC, and local requirements regarding safety, hazardous materials handling, etc. The individual will participate in industry training, updating certifications as needed throughout the year. This position will be scheduling and managing a team of Production Technicians and Project Managers. This position will also be the Project Estimator.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for service
- Explain processes and answer customer questions, as needed
- Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs/concerns to ensure customer needs are met
- Communicate clear expectations to Production Technicians and supervise their activities
- Perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control
- Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers
- Resolve problems quickly as they arise
- Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Effective written and oral communication
- Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred
- 1-2 years in construction is a plus
- 2-year Associate Degree or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with background check, drug, and driving policy
- Ability to obtain a Chauffeur License and DOT Med Card within 30 days
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and ability to lift more with assistance
- Controlled exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Able to walk, stand, squat, sit, and climb without assistance
- Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
- Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
- Ability to wear a respirator
