- Characterize the performance of electronic systems, both ground-based and airborne to include radar systems and electronic attack (EA) systems
- Work with engineering team to perform research and support development of RF Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) systems—Electronic Protect, Electronic Attack and Electronic Support
- Directly support customers in order to develop EW systems, subsystems and software to formulate tactics and operational deployment strategies
- Support Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) development with emphasis on Emerging Threat and Complex Emerging Threat (ET/CET) analysis and development
- Design, evaluate, and document RF, analog, digital, and power systems
- Provide expertise and technical support to Electromagnetic Warfare Group
- Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes
- Address technical questions and issues that may arise during scheduled Test and Evaluation and Operational events to customer
- Assist in the development of schedules in regards to labor and project completion
- Perform other duties as assigned
Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with lead and/or supervisor on unusual matters. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Performs an assortment of moderately complex research and development engineering duties such as developing, designing, and evaluating new approaches to meet project objectives, planning of manufacturing and fabrication, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of complex apparatus. Provides support to activities in the use of electrical devices for commercial, domestic, and industrial use. Works directly with engineers in other disciplines to enhance production, quality and meet customer specifications and requirements. May provide work guidance and training to lower level professional and technical staff.
Classification Standard Duties
Manages projects which may require the use of sophisticated project planning techniques. Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the work of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Carries out feasibility studies for new technical innovations. Draws up plans and specifications for moderately complex projects, using computer-assisted engineering and design software. Estimates material, and labor costs, and project timelines. May coordinate the work of other engineers, technicians and craftspeople. Tests installations and systems, and analyzes data making sure projects meet applicable system requirements. Oversees inspection and maintenance programs. Attends meetings, writes reports and gives presentations to managers and clients.
Knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Can apply engineering principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities. Understanding of design and testing methodologies required for new electrical, mechanical, or electromagnetic components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Required Experience
Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined
Equivalency None Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of RF principals as related to ECM and Radar systems to include high power RF
- Ability to document/support technical analysis and assessments with strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of RF, analog, digital test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, RF signal generators, network analyzers
- Ability to document/support technical analysis and assessments with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Must have Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess a Secret clearance at a minimum or be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start of employment
Must be able to maintain a secret clearance or higher throughout employment
