Our client, provides access to one of the largest sources of contract clinicians, seeks an accomplished Psychiatrist - Inpatient.

· Shift: Weekdays + one mandatory weekend per month with extra pay.

· No mandatory night calls. Option to take night call with extra pay.

Compensation / Benefits related:

· Base salary including potential quality and productivity bonuses, call, and weekend work (additional details to be discussed at interview).

Description:

· Looking to hire a Perm Adult Inpatient or Partial Hospitalization Psychiatrist (FLOAT).

· 40 hours per week of psychiatric care services for adult patients requiring inpatient or partial hospitalization level of care.

· Provides coverage for other Physicians on leave across multiple units.

· Float position requires flexibility and adaptability to work with different patient populations and diverse interdisciplinary teams.

· Weekday coverage includes psychiatric admissions, subsequent care visits, and discharges.

· 9 - 13 patient visits per day.

· Weekday coverage also includes, but is not limited to:

o Multi-disciplinary Treatment Team meetings.

o 1st and 2nd clinical certification if the patient need involuntary inpatient admission.

o Court hearings for involuntary hospitalization and peer-to-peer with payors.

o Meetings with the unit manager, other staff, family, and guardians.

o Working with medical students and residents on the assigned inpatient unit.

o Collaboration with Advanced Practice Professionals.

o Other similar duties required in care of adult inpatient clients.

· Complete documentation following Division requirements:

o Admissions within 20 hours of patient admission.

o Subsequent care visits within 20 hours of date seen.

o Discharges within 3 days from date of discharge.

o Signed charts upon completion.

· Employee Citizenship meetings:

o Division and Department meetings.

o Clinical Medical Staff meetings.

o Medical Staff committee meetings.

o Administrative meetings with managers.

o Participation in strategic, quality, financial, and clinical meetings/discussions, as required and requested.

· Required to work one weekend a month on an inpatient unit – with extra pay.

· No mandatory night calls - option to take night calls for extra compensation.

· Open to new graduates and IMLCC applicants.

· All specialties within Psychiatry (Addiction, Forensic, Geriatric, Child & Adolescent, Psychosomatic) considered.

Requirements:

· Board Certified or Board Eligible (must complete boards within 5 years).

· Licensed in State of MI (or IMLCC or willing to become licensed).

· Active DEA License.

· BLS.
