Purchasing Manager

Our client located in the North Suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota area is looking to add a Purchasing Manager due to continued growth. Highlights

The Purchasing Manager will oversee and direct activities at the Minnesota and West Coast facility.

· Purchase raw materials and supplies used in manufacturing

· Maintain purchase history and continually investigate the best and most economic purchase

· Contracting of outside services for molding, machining, etc.

· Tracking and reporting inventory turns

· Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers

· Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance

· Implementing improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associates degree in a related filed preferred

· 5+ years’ experience using automated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems

· 5+ years manufacturing experience

· 2+ years purchasing experience in injections molding industry

· IQMS knowledge preferred

· Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry

· Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Great team player

· Ability to problem solve and work efficiently under pressure

Annual Salary Rate $80K to $100K (DOE)
