SCOPE
- QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
Responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in the planning, implementation, and oversight of all Quality Assurance related functions in the lab and on the production floor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
- Covering food safety and quality responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Resolve and assist QA employees in solving work problems.
- Participate in all internal and external audits relative to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Participating in sensory and finished product review/scoring as required.
- Performing additional duties as requested by the Quality Assurance Manager
- Review paperwork from previous day and ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Will work in the lab and assist with pre-op.
- Assist with annual performance appraisals.

- Handle and maintain several work streams simultaneously with precision

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
- Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve
- Previous knowledge in food production Quality Assurance or related experience
- Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
- Should be able to prioritize tasks to maximize time management and problem resolution
- Must be committed to company values
- Should be computer proficient Microsoft, APTEN, ROSS and ability to learn new programs as required
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and BRC or other manufacturing quality programs
- Experience in developing/documenting procedures
- Experience in implementation and auditing of quality assurance programs
