Position Summary

MEPPI's High Voltage Switchgear Division is looking for a Quality Control Clerk to perform clerical and administrative duties to support the High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) Quality Department.

Essential Functions
  • Perform general clerical functions including filing, faxing, scanning and data entry.
  • Organize and file Quality Records.
  • Support and assist the Quality Department administratively as needed.
  • Perform FIFO flow in the Incoming Inspection Area and prioritize product according to production needs.
  • Compile Inspection Packets ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain Incoming Inspection tool database.
  • Create photographic documentation and records of shippable items. Perform electronic filing of shippable records.
  • Proofread and verify accuracy of Nameplates.
  • Perform data entry into the Company ERP system. Use the ERP system to look up items, drawings, MRRs, and other inspection records.
  • Track tools sent out for Calibration and Calibration dates.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Quality Department by communicating with other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment in the Incoming Inspection Area.
  • Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Company by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, visitors and callers in a timely and cooperative manner.
  • Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 1 year of office/administrative experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technical drawings and revisions from an administrative perspective.
  • Ability to operate various types of office equipment.
  • Ability to proof read documents for accuracy.
  • Intermediate organizational skills.
  • Intermediate interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and basic knowledge of ERP systems.
