Primary Objective:
The Quality Inspector works with the foam department throughout the production process, observing and approving the quality of goods prior to progress through further stages of production. When production is completed, the quality inspector is responsible for a final comprehensive assessment to certify there are no defects or deviations from specifications and to grant final approval of the product. The Quality Inspector is expected to uphold the guidelines set forth by the department manager and company policies and standards; correcting faults in both goods and processes to provide the best finished product to consumer markets.

What you will do:

• Ensure quality parts are being delivered to ensure customer expectations are being met
• Work closely with QC Coordinator for assistance
• Set standards to provide feedback and address any corrective actions
• Complete all required quality control documents at end of production and sign to designate desired standards are met prior to products packaged
• Record written standards in set-up sheets / work order details as it relates to the respective department and have available for production reference
• Pull any rejects and enter scrap data
• Obtain QC review reports for department and provide necessary actions to address concerns
• Utilize a variety of measuring devices such as durometer, gauges, spectrophotometer, calipers, tape measure, etc.

You might have:

• Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Windows
• Previous experience working in a quality control role or for an ISO 9001 certified company is helpful

• 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday 6-2:30. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM, must be flexible with business demand and be willing to work overtime as needed.
