What will you be doing?

The Quality Control Tech is responsible for assuring top quality products are being created by testing materials and parts before, during, and after production to ensure they conform to specifications.

Some of your day-to-day tasks?

  • Inspect in-house manufactured and/or delivered lots of raw or finished materials
  • Pull samples from manufactured and/or delivered lots of raw materials & products, send for testing to QC Lab and QA Retentions, if applicable
  • Audit production manufacturing and processes
  • Input data into QA database for Quality Assurance
  • Input data into inventory database system for accountability
  • Maintain daily audit records and files
  • Audit and verify products and raw materials that do not meet specifications; know how to dispose of these products
  • Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (required)
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma (preferred)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the latest codes and new developments in testing and examination methods of processes, materials, and products
  • Inspects, measures, and tests mechanical, electrical and electromechanical components and assemblies
  • Verifies material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
  • Gathers and maintains specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures and processes used in company
  • Creates and maintains inspection plans, logs and reports
  • Compiles reports using information gathered from quality, manufacturing and research projects
  • Develops measurement processes
  • Collects and analyzes data using statistical analysis methods
  • Investigate questionable products or components
  • Work closely with purchasing, shipping and receiving to ensure high quality standards of incoming and outgoing parts

What do you need to be able to do?

  • Must be self-motivated and driven to achieve excellence.
  • Must be able to work well with a diverse team with a common goal to improve Action Target operations. 
    Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft products and other applicable software or applications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years’ related experience and/or training;
  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Employee will work in warehouse environment, needing to wear required PPE
