Quality Systems Specialist Job at Winnebago Industries Inc
Primary Objective of Position:
The Quality System Specialist will support the Winnebago Outdoors Quality System including organizing, monitoring, and distributing information related to the quality management system and product performance data. This position will also support the development of a new quality management system and existing software platforms.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Assemble, analyze, and distribute quality data for critical quality processes and inspections, including First Pass Yield, etc.- Coordinate activities related to Document Control, New Product Development, CCB / Change Management, and other assigned QMS processes.
- Maintain quality system documents related to the use of Winnebago Quality Management system tools including Document Control, Corrective Action, and Non-Conforming Material.
- Provide training, as needed, to individuals or groups on the Quality Management System tools and processes as appropriate.
- Assist Manager, Quality Systems & Standards with QMS process development and testing of QMS software tool for version upgrades, application improvements, and new applications.
- Assist with administering QMS software tools including user role management, workflow activity assignments, and basic troubleshooting and user support.
- Communicates with co-workers, supervisors, and managers about barriers and solutions in a professional, constructive manner.
- Must be knowledgeable of, and adhere to, the Winnebago Quality Management System and its requirements.
- Support Quality Management System initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned based on business need
Critical Competencies
Excellent written and oral communication skills- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Mainframe, Intellect, and other software tools utilized by Winnebago Outdoors.
- Aptitude and desire to learn and work with QMS software
- The ability to work/collaborate effectively across multiple cross-functional groups is required
- Ability to prepare and present quality metrics
- Completes assigned tasks while operating independently and/or with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated and driven – strives to deliver great results and drive continuous improvement, gets things done
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability; thrives in a changing and/or fast-paced environment, responds and adapts to changing priorities with minimal disruption
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma / GED required; 2 or 4-year technical degree preferred
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control OR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic level problem-solving skills (data analysis, investigation, testing/inspection)
- Continuous improvement methodology training/experience preferred
- This position may require travel to other Winnebago locations
