Summary Description:
Responsible for upholding the quality culture through working with other employees to implement corrective and preventative actions. Help drive the quality systems to the people and implement them to meet quality and productivity objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Quality department adherence to the PCC Cardinal Rules of Quality, ISO 9001, ASME BPE, 3A, PED, ASNT NDT, and applicable ASTM specifications.
  • Knowledge of tubing and pipe product characteristics.
  • Responsible to assist the non-conforming material system (NCM) for disposition, root cause analysis and closure follow up.
  • Supports the maintenance of the returned goods process (RMA) for disposition and closure follow up.
  • Takes photos of damaged packaging if return product damaged in shipping (as needed).
  • Conducts supplier inspection as required.
  • Support as necessary quality testing activities.
  • Participate in the Internal Audit process as a qualified internal auditor.
  • Supports Customer and Notified Body inspections, audits & nonconformance response activities.
  • Supports Certification Audits.
  • Supports operational training and compliance in regard to ISO requirements.
  • Train other personnel on work instructions, gages, inspection and testing equipment.
  • Supports the creation of customer data/ statistical packages, and /or data submission packages of quality data to support shipments and customer approval.
  • Responsible for compliance to the PCC Cardinal Rules of Safety and conformance to plant specific safety and work rules.
  • Supports 6S initiatives and takes responsibility as directed for associated projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Required:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to determine acceptability of products to specification.
  • Ability to use and/or operate gauging equipment as required to inspect and test tubing for conformance to applicable manufacturing specifications.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment used by production personnel.
  • Ability to maintain, setup and/or operate measuring and testing equipment as required to inspect and test tubing for conformance to applicable manufacturing specifications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must be fluent in English. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. (reading & writing)
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employee of the organization.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • NDT, welding and metallurgical experience
  • Proficient in use of measuring equipment for testing.
  • Degree or technical certificate in quality, engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience using MS Office Suite
