Technical Writer - Remote United States

Responsible for support of quality management by providing quality management software support, software user training, records maintenance, data processing, and report preparation. Supports multiple quality managers simultaneously. Provides data gathering research, preliminary analysis, and trend information. Generates monthly "due-for-review" and "past due" software user status reports. Provides problem solving, user interface, and training support to project teams and individuals on quality software modules. Arranges training by quality leaders for project teams. Maintains quality records in permanent files. Inputs data and maintains databases. Prepares iExpense reports as assigned. For a Nuclear position, additional duties may include: Drafting QA programs and nuclear procedures. Administering the HQMS Nuclear Issues Module. Providing guidance to Project Support Assistants with quality records duties. Participating in audits and assessments. Participating in Root Cause Analyses. Typically interfaces with multiple project teams and professionals simultaneously. Individual contributor with no direct reports.

Skills:

Familiarity with quality management software and database management desired. Preferred Technical Skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) - intermediate; SharePoint. Human relation skills (conflict management and resolution) - basic. Database management skills - basic. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 principles. Experience with quality programs and implementation activities related to ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma (desired). Non-Technical Preferred Skills: Demonstrates basic: Process management, conflict management, total work systems, written communications, and composure.

Education:

4 year degree in engineering, quality, business, construction science, or related field (preferred). Minimum 2 years prior experience in quality management-related field. No special training required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
