R&D Scientist Job at Manpower Engineering
The R&D Scientist will demonstrate and apply the following skills to their work.
- Understanding of Scientific Methodology. Hypothesis driven research and problem solving capability utilizing experimental design, data analysis and documentation.
- Strong competency of surfactant chemistry, polymers, solvents, chelating agents, and builders specific to home care and I&I cleaning segment areas.
- Cleaning Formulation Science: Experience working with cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting chemistry, formulating products from development through to production. Ability to identify differing organic, inorganic, and combination soils and the comprehension of cleaning mechanisms of emulsifying, lifting, dispersing, sequestering, suspending and decomposing to efficiently address.
- Cleaning Product development: Mastery of the various acidic, basic, and alkaline chemistries required to efficiently remove differing soils in areas of cleaners, degreasers, glass, bathroom, and other household and I&I cleaners.
Technical Leadership:
- Ability to develop and implement project plans, manage timelines, prioritize projects and resources, measure progress and providing updates in alignment with marketing and other cross functional teams.
- The R&D Scientist should demonstrate capabilities of being a vocal and influential voice in project plans and deliverables with R&D, marketing, and additional cross-functional teams.
- Ability to make strategic decisions (technical and staff utilization) and influence leaders and scientists to execute initiatives while managing business strategy and value creation
- Outstanding technical (verbal and writing) and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Track record of identifying and scouting new and innovative ideas, showing an aptitude for continuous learning and an intimate awareness of open literature and the competitive landscape

Education Guidelines
BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, or other equivalent scientific field required
MS or PhD strongly preferred
