BSI is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients, in consultation with the oncology team
• Explaining the process to patients and answering any questions.
• Using medical imaging equipment to ensure treatments are delivered accurately.
• Help ensure proper positioning of patients for treatment using masks, braces and other equipment
• Monitoring the progress of patients and suggesting amendments to treatment plans, when necessary.
• Schedule patient visits to follow treatment plan
• Monitor patient's emotional and physical tolerance of treatment
• Undertaking oncology research in order to improve treatment methods.

Required Qualification (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• License to practice radiation therapy.
• Experience working as a radiation therapist.
• BLS - Basic Life Support and
• ARRT-RTR - Reg Tech-Radiography ARRT and CRT-T

Additional Knowledge/Skills

• High level of emotional and professional maturity and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures involved in the operation of modern radiation therapy equipment and systems including simulation, imaging, and treatment procedures.
• Knowledge of the human anatomy and proper positioning of the patient to provide treatment as prescribed.
• Knowledge of principles and methods to ensure safety and quality control.
• Ability to both follow direction and act independently
• Ability to maintain professionalism while working with sick patients.
