Ram Extrusion Operator

Under the direction of the Extrusion Manager supports department efforts to assure continuous operation of product manufacturing by performing the following duties personally or through department production employees.

• Producing first quality products
• Filling the hoppers with resin
• Accurately filling out production reports
• Thoroughly clean production equipment
• Housekeeping to include extruder, extruder area. All shall be cleaned daily and kept clean throughout shift
• Remove out of spec material and mark it appropriately
• Proper and safe operation of equipment
• Clean equipment per Extrusion Manager's schedule
• Report all problems/challenges with equipment or quality of product to the Extrusion Manager immediately

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• The employee is required to be able to operate a forklift, scales, and department production equipment.
