We are looking for a Baggage Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading luggage from the aircraft, sorting and delivering luggage to the correct destination, and providing assistance to passengers with their luggage. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to lift heavy objects.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload baggage from aircraft and other vehicles.
- Sort baggage according to destination.
- Ensure that baggage is properly labeled and identified.
- Inspect baggage for damage or security issues.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as conveyor belts, tugs, and carts.
- Communicate with airline personnel to ensure proper handling of luggage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A strong commitment to customer service.
Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to work outside in various weather.
Flexible schedule and ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license is preferred.
Interest in the aviation industry is a plus.
Training: All necessary training will be provided upon completion of the new hire paperwork.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
