Duties
Removes and replaces axles and leaf springs on boat, ATV and camper trailers. Inspects and repairs wheel bearings and services as needed. Inspects damage, repairs or replaces all trailer suspension components and trailer tires as needed/required. Troubleshoot and repairs camper trailer electrical, heating, and plumbing systems, cabinets, propone tanks, and all interior and exterior components. Inspects for damage and repairs miscellaneous recreational equipment to include but is not limited to mountain bicycles, miler blades, camp stoves, lanterns, tents, 14-18'' fishing boats, canoes, and rafts. Performs minor tune-ups, repairs and maintenance on small engines to include outboard boat motors, lawnmowers splitters, rototillers, snow blowers, augers, change saw and edgers. Maintains maintenance records on all equipment to include man-hours, materials, preventive maintenance requirements and data of repairs. Determiners supplies and parts needed for maintenance and repair of all small engines and equipment. Operates hand drills, grinders, impact wrenches and other small hand tools. May be required to operate a mig welder and acetylene torch to repair trailers and components. Perform minor fiberglass repairs. Instructs patrons on all phases of operation and safety regulations concerning the use of all rental equipment to include small engines and boat motors. May collect fees for of rental of equipment. On specific days may be required to open the facility in the morning and secure the facility in the evening. Repairs and services bicycles using hand tools. These repairs and services may include installing, repairing, and replacing equipment or accessories such as handle bars, stands, lights, and seats; disassembles to replace brakes and to replace and adjust defective parts; and tightening and loosening spokes to align wheels. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe shop using prescribed safety, fire and environmental regulations. Responsible for driving the Outdoor Adventure Program 30 passenger tour bus. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in maintenance and repair of recreational equipment items such as camper trailers, small boats, boat and ATV trailers, bicycles, camp stoves, lanterns and small engines in lawn mowers, rototillers, chain saws and boat motors. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defects; interpret, and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals. Must be able to perform minor welding techniques. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance or with mechanical devices, objects weighing up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl and work in tight spaces for long periods of time. must be able to present information and instructions on the proper use of equipment. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must hold a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or be able to obtained one within 6 months of employment. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check With Inquires (NACI).
Education
