The H&S Family of Bakeries are a network of 10 bakeries and multiple distribution centers along the East Coast, all committed to one thing: producing the best quality bread products possible. H&S Family of Bakeries includes Northeast Foods, H&S Bakery and Schmidt Baking Co. Together, our baked goods can be found in a wide range of establishments, from fast food and quick-service restaurants to cafeterias, hospitals, grocery stores and universities.
We are looking for an organized, professional, and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Regional Sales Representative. They must have a passion for customer service and are goal oriented. They will be responsible for our wholesale foodservice route sales in a designated territory. Minimum of 2-years experience in sales in a related role is preferred but not necessary. Computer skills including all Microsoft Suite applications is required. Success in this role will be defined primarily by sales growth and customer retention, as well as an active pursuit of potential leads and targets. This is a full time, benefits eligible opportunity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handling numerous inquiries from customers, addressing their needs in a timely manner
- Staying on top of key accounts and providing a direct line of communication for any issues
- Developing and executing the companys strategic sales plans to grow the overall business.
- Managing and developing new customer relationships, while maintaining existing sales in the assigned sales territory.
- Pursuing new leads and grow existing customer relationships daily
- Engaging Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) in all facets of planning route sales activity, including order management, daily distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, and holiday planning to meet the customers expectations
- Engaging and collaborating daily with the Director of Sales to meet KPIs
- Engaging and develop core competencies in drivers or RSRs through training, coaching, mentoring, and consistent performance feedback to grow overall route business
- Utilize sales data to help drive effective decisions as well as drive volume growth with customers through the means of cold calls, sales targets, and other sales leads.
- Ensuring client retention by exceeding expectations in service with new/current customers
- Maximizing growth opportunities in various foodservice channels including GPOs
- Fostering an optimistic attitude of continuous self-improvement and dedication
- Developing a daily/weekly tracking sheet and maintain information accuracy weekly
- Reviewing weekly sales reports to highlight lost accounts and targets for following week
- Analyzing a territory and monitoring performance results and then sharing daily call reports and weekly tracking sheet.
- Developing a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
Requirements & Physical Demands
High School Diploma
Professional experience in a sales or customer service role
Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software
