Advanced Specialty Anesthesia (ASA) is dedicated to making a difference in healthcare and specializes in providing mobile anesthesia services to dental practices and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Kansas.

Job Purpose:

ASA is looking for a PRN Clinical Anesthesia Nurse to assist CRNA’s who administer anesthesia to patients in various dental practices, mostly pediatric, and provide care to the patient pre-operatively and during the recovery period. The position is PRN-choose your own shifts. Locations are in the Topeka and KC Metro area. We need assistance one to two times weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Provides field assistance to CRNA’s at various dental office locations in the Kansas City and Topeka area
• Administers IV’s according to policy and procedures.
• Monitors; performs on-going assessment and revises plan of care based on new data and patient’s condition.
• Performs pre and post-op evaluations on patients. Before treatment; collects and documents the patient’s current health status and medical history. After treatment; collects and documents the patient’s health status.
• Educates the patient and family members on the procedure to be performed; provides special instructions regarding allergies, medications, diet, and post-operative care.

Physical/Environmental: Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients up to 50 pounds. Required to work at a variety of locations and be responsible for own transportation, while being exposed to changing weather conditions.

• The noise level may be moderate to loud due to the nature of changing office environments.

Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office, clinical, or hospital setting required. State of Kansas License as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance, and have access to an automobile. ACLS and PALS beneficial to have but will certify if not current.

Pay: $31.00 - $32.00 per hour
