Position Highlights
A successful candidate will manage all facets of student registration and records, class schedules, instructional space assignments, graduation clearance, and other related matters. They will plan and implement registration services for College of Veterinary Medicine students. They will be expected to manage student records and will provide maintenance and upgrading of academic information infrastructure. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the creation, updating, and maintenance of course and class data.
- Enrolls students in lock-step courses and submit final grades, as applicable.
- Implements program policies and procedures regarding student registration, records, class schedules, instructional space scheduling, identification cards, and graduation requirements.
- Understands the licensing process and graduation requirements.
- Maintains and upgrades the University's academic information infrastructure including academic records archives, on-line student database, and generate reports for the university and accrediting bodies.
- Analyzes problems related to enrollment, student assessments and progress, grading, and updates course and class data appropriately.
- Coordinates the grade petition process, responds to inquiries concerning academic performance, manages and records student leave absences, and resolves problems regarding the management of student records.
- Ensures data is accurate and updated in a timely fashion.
- Understands the impact of changes to courses and classes based on semester, time of year, and type of change and relays those impacts.
- Works with college coordinators to identify scheduling issues, space constraints, etc.
- Collaborates with Academic Programs, UA Registrar, Curricular Affairs, and Student Affairs including Financial Aid and the Enrollment Management Working Group for transparent and cohesive communication and course delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong motivational skills to create a positive and engaging work environment with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to take initiative and follow through to completion all assignments and projects in a timely manner with demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and collaborate among staff and management.
- Ability to counsel, advise, disseminate student records information, educate staff and administration, and make referrals for students and staff over a wide range of subjects relating to residency.
- Good communication skills while utilizing professionalism and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- Up to 1 year of relevant work experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience at an institution of higher education focusing on course scheduling, student records, and/or student counseling.
- Experience with course registration, navigating through college-wide administration.
