Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Seattle, Washington area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
• Provide support to internal business partners
• Carry out additional projects as required
• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
• Accomplish full-cycle A/P
• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
• Provide support during internal and external audits
• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
• Strong familiarity with budgeting
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Foundational knowledge in Payment Processing
• Microsoft Excel experience preferred
• Check processing experience highly desired
• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
