The Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health (CLAFH) seeks to reduce health inequities and promote overall wellbeing among Latino adolescents and their families. CLAFH develops, evaluates, and disseminates family-based interventions and nurse-driven models of health care delivery designed to address the social determinants of health, reduce health disparities, increase Latino engagement in health care, and promote life opportunities. The research assistant will play an important role in contributing to the center's efforts.
The Research Assistant will provide a full range of research related support, which will involve technical grant writing, developing presentations, conducting literature reviews, performing background research, composing research reports, writing press releases, and assisting with additional research activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
- At least two or more years' previous work experience providing research support preferred.
- Strong writing skills preferred
- Grant writing and/or PowerPoint presentation development experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to working in communities with health disparities is preferred.
- Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment, be motivated, be organized, be detail-oriented, be willing to work under the supervision of the Project Manager, and possess the necessary skills to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
