Job Description
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions (Lighthouse) provides individual, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, psychiatric services, and medication assisted treatment for mental health and substance abuse treatment needs.

Our programs and services are dedicated to adults struggling to cope with alcohol and/or drug addiction and mental health challenges brought about by difficult life experiences on an outpatient basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively ensure the safety and security of residents and recovery residences on first, second, or third shift.
- Proactively seek to support individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder. Expresses understanding, support and respect for the many paths of recovery an individual resident may wish to pursue.
- Assist with maintaining the resident living conditions by educating and encouraging residents to respect the physical residence (neatness and safety), maintaining a reasonable noise level, and to respect the rights, boundaries, and recovery paths of other residents.
- Develop and carry out activities to promote a sense of community within the residence.
- Maintaining confidentiality of communication between resident and staff member. The confidential nature of this relationship does not extend to areas covered by mandated reporting.
- The Resident Advisor will serve as a role model, act as a mentor, advocate, and motivator. The Resident Advisor must be available and accessible to residents by making a strong commitment to be present at the residence during scheduled shift.
- Work closely with other housing staff members to maintain, foster, and improve the present and future program. Special aspects include assistance in orientation, facilitating linkage to community resources, moving a resident to another residence, opening, and closing of common areas, and room changes.
- Assists residents in their efforts to solve problems using various techniques.
- Completes drug urinalysis screens, as needed.
- Support connections to community-based resources and mutual self-help groups.
- Participate and contribute to weekly staffing discussions with housing staff and other interested parties.
- Complete documentation and shift notes per agency guidelines.
- Conduct themselves at a high standard of professionalism and abides by the LBHS Code of Conduct of Ethical Behavior.
- Not limited to other administrative or office management duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school diploma/ G.E.D.
- Must have an understanding and respect for addiction recovery.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be willing to obtain your CMS certification upon hire (must be eligible to bill Medicaid)
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems preferred.
- Must have proficient computer skills.

- CDCA
- Peer Recovery Support Certification
- Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS)
