Arcxis is searching for an HVAC Designer / Engineer to join their team. This position can be based out of any of the following locations: Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, or Las Vegas NV

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Job duties will be to produce Manual J, S, and D calculation and designs using Wrigthsoft and final construction documents in AutoCAD
• Mechanical HVAC engineering and design of single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise residential HVAC systems
• Generate detailed mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of mechanical systems for bidding and construction
• Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD
• Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience.
• Preferred 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction.
• Mechanical Design experience with various cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
• Mechanical Design experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages.
