Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a resiliency program and grant coordinator to support the growth of its Resource Resiliency Program. The successful candidate will join our California team and assist in supporting clients with projects related to enhancing water and forest resource resiliency. We are looking for an individual with experience in state policy and grant programs who will:
Use their experience working with policy, non-profit organizations, and state/city/community organizations to bring strategic connections and partnerships to the Resource Resiliency Program
Work with the Trihydro Resource Resiliency Program team to identify and secure grant-based opportunities for watershed and forest planning and implementation projects (including landscape-scale fuel reduction master plans and implementation of fuel thinning, biomass, and habitat restoration projects)
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local stakeholders
Scope, cost, plan, and manage watershed and forest planning and implementation projects
Lead and mentor project teams
This position requires the following:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, natural resources management, planning, public administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
10+ years of experience in watershed or forestry projects or programs with demonstrated success managing scope, schedule, and budget
Experience with public outreach and communicating with different groups including disadvantaged communities
Experience working with various local and state agencies, with knowledge of various grant programs and funding availabilities
Experience with policy, regulations, and planning for discretionary projects in California including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Knowledge of California’s natural environment and climate-related impacts affecting water and forest resources within the region
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to prepare complex documents, proposals, reports, permits, and applications
Creative problem-solving skills
Ability to build consensus, develop effective coalitions, and collaborate with stakeholders from varied perspectives
Valid California’s Driver’s license and clean driving record
