ABOUT THE JOB: Summary:
The RCP performs the functions of a respiratory care practitioner in direct care. This position utilizes the respiratory care process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care and works effectively with members of the health care team, including the family in the provision of care to patients. The incumbent performs the functions of a respiratory care practitioner in direct care and utilizes the respiratory care process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care.

To ensure we continue offering the same outstanding, convenient care, we are increasing from a Level IV to Level III trauma designation and adding a new eight-story tower home to 212 patient beds.

WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years job related experience Pref
- Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Pref
- BLS from American Heart Association-Req
- NRP (Plano and NICU core) 180 Days- Req
- PALS -Req
- RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Texas license Req
- RRT-NPS recognized by the NBRC 1 1/2 Yrs Req
- Requires experience in own professional discipline to appropriately apply own knowledge; broadens own professional expertise and acquires higher level skills
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
- No supervisory responsibilities but may provide informal guidance to new team members
- Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using professional/technical experience, judgment and precedents
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations
