RN - Hematology/Oncology Job at Brookdale Associates

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient team providing care to patients coming in for Infusion Treatments which is overseen by some of the top Oncologist in New York!
Our office is located in Putnam County, NY and the RN will be overseeing the care of patients going through different forms and stages of cancer.
Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 5:00 pm (40 hr. work week), no holidays or weekends
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00/ hour (Depending on Experience & Education)

*** Must have previous experience in Oncology or Infusion
Key Responsibilities
- Administer TPN infusion
- PICC Midline Cath dressing change, blood draw, infusion, maintenance
- Experience with infusion pumps a plus (Ex. Curlin 6000)
- Excellent venipuncture skills, Access Ports
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Active NYS RN nursing License, BLS certification
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Requirements:
- NYS RN License
- BLS (required) & ACLS (preferred)

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
