RN Pre-Op/PACU Job at R Choice Surgical Center LLC
R Choice Surgical Center is located in Fremont, Nebraska, whose focus is on interventional pain management and spine health. We are seeking a Registered Nurse who can assist in all areas of patient care including Pre-operative and PACU. The RN provides direct patient care in these areas including assessments, vital signs, medication administration, patient education, and documentation to meet the needs of the patient. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse facilitates patient admission and flow to maintain timeliness for all procedures and surgeries scheduled.
- Completes Nursing Assessment and ensures that all pre-operative paperwork is present. Reviews patient history, labs, treatments, and forms required for surgery.
- Registered Nurse educates the patient regarding the procedure/surgery and communicates any concerns to the surgical team.
- Competent in performing waived tests, IV starts, carries out orders for conscious sedation.
- Facilitates safe, appropriate care of all post-surgical patients, and all post anesthesia patients.
- The Nurse is able to care for patients through the continuum of care and PACU nursing process.
Requirements:
Current Nebraska Nursing License
1 year of Operating Room experience, or Critical Care experience
