The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses at the Hogan Regional Center! Hogan Regional Center provides daily support and emergency stabilization to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities within three residential units (independent and group living) and one day program. We assist approximately 95 adults throughout our residential and day programs who require various levels of assistance to go to work, attend to daily living needs, participate in meaningful recreational activities, and to engage in community membership.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care and oversight by assessing health care needs to ensure the prevention of illness and the promotion of health maintenance.
• Collect health and status data for individuals, dispense medications, perform treatments, and document and maintain accurate medical records.
• Identify acute problems and initiate intervention or referrals for needed medical services, confirming that follow-up care is pursued.
• Support nursing leadership and training for staff; serve as an advocate to ensure individuals receive appropriate health care treatment, health education, and other health related services.
• Serve as a first responder for behavioral or medical crisis situations.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid RN license.
• Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical, and empowering relationship with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
