Position: Sanitation Supervisor (3rd shift)
Location: Stoughton, WI 53589

Description:
Support all systems necessary to be in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, and all regulatory compliances while maintaining the B & G Foods, Inc. quality systems and standards. Effectively supervise the sanitation, quality assurance, and production staff to assure specification compliance, plant sanitation, continuous improvement and safety programs are maintained. Implement and support the SQF code. Employees are responsible for safety and food safety / quality.
· Lead plant environmental services (sanitation) programs.
· Master sanitation schedule. Chemical usage and efficacy. Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP’s) Safety program SDS.
· Supervise and perform Sanitation, Quality Assurance, Production shift activities including.
· Supervise sanitors, lab aids, and any production employees. Review all paperwork in a timely manner and release or hold finished products based on strict specifications. Complete shift production notes and report it to the operations team. Conduct monthly HACCP, GMP and lab documentation audits for 3rd shift. Verification and validation of job competencies as they relate to CCP’s and other quality tests. Environmental monitoring of the facility.
· Develops or recommends development of procedures, techniques and process controls to assure products meet the established specifications and/or objectives. Assist with new product development, raw material, packaging material, and machinability checks as necessary.
· Attend monthly safety meetings. Follow up on assigned safety issues as needed.
· Maintain production efficiencies on shift with effective use of all shift resources (labor, materials, and other management personnel) to achieve or exceed Plant’s production plan. Manage shift operations to ensure material usage is within plant standard.
· Support continuous improvement and cost savings projects.
· Create and distribute Out of Specification Merchandise forms for finished product, ingredients, and packaging materials that do not meet specifications and coordinate quality meetings with raw and packaging material suppliers for continuous improvement.
· Provide technical assistance and support to 3rd shift SPC users to resolve computer-related problems.
· Work on special projects as assigned by the QA Manager.
Requirements:
· 1-2 years prior experience.
· Bachelor's Degree.
· Knowledge of all quality control standards, specifications and procedures.
· Knowledge of the SQF or equivalent code.
· Plant sanitation expertise.
· Knowledge of computers and related equipment and SPC software.
· Good verbal communication and written skills.
· Basic microbiology background and understanding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift

- Plant Sanitation: 5 years (Preferred)
